Hanson Lecture - The ongoing challenge of flu, by Marie Gramer, D.V.M., Ph.D.
Marie Gramer, D.V.M., Ph.D., is a veterinary diagnostician at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, she worked as a swine health and production veterinarian for PIC USA in Franklin, Ky. Dr. Gramer completed her pathology residency in 2003 and her Ph.D. on the pathogenesis and characterization of reassortant swine influenza viruses in 2007. She currently participates in collaborative research on transmission of swine influenza viruses among pigs, poultry and people.
